This research paper examines the challenges Viksit Bharat faces in building its human capital to achieve its vision of becoming a global economic powerhouse. Despite recent progress, significant obstacles remain in education and skill development. Key issues include limited access to quality education, especially in rural and underserved areas, poor infrastructure, socio-economic inequalities, and a mismatch between educational outcomes and job market demands. Using data and existing studies, the paper identifies these challenges and suggests comprehensive solutions. It emphasizes the importance of improving infrastructure, enhancing teacher training, reforming curricula, and fostering collaboration between industry and education. Promoting inclusivity and equal access to education and skills training is also crucial to ensure no one is left behind in the country's economic growth.
By implementing evidence-based policies and encouraging collaboration among stakeholders, Viksit Bharat can effectively develop its human capital and strengthen its position in the global economy. This paper offers practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders to address these challenges and support the nation's development goals.
